THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE ARTWORK

I believe just like with Wi-Fi, our brain receives information and what we call an aura or the soul, is consciousness.

Our consciousness tricks us into perceiving a false duality of self and other when in fact there is only unity. We are not separate from other aspects of the universe but an integral and inextricable part of them. And when we die, we transcend the human experience of consciousness, and its illusion of duality, and merge with the universe's entire and unified property of consciousness. So, ironically, only in death can we be fully conscious.

ARTWORK BACKSTORY

This artwork is a high resolution reproduction of an original piece that was hand painted using alcohol inks. Alcohol inks give unique effects that other inks can’t offer. In saying that, they are not lightfast (which means they fade rapidly).

Because of this, the original piece has been destroyed as I cannot in good faith sell an artwork where the image may completely disappear at some point.

The artwork available to purchase on this listing has been printed using archival inks, it is now the original and the only one in existence.
